Friends! Welcome to my Home Series! I have been very excited to share with you our finished home. It has been a long time coming and even though this is not our forever home (military housing) I desperately needed to make it feel like ours! I hope you find some inspiration and if I miss a link you want please comment down below!

Friends it has been a long time coming for our home to be "finished". The reason I say "finished" is because I am currently watching Nick build a table shelf, that will be placed behind the couch for drinks. (Not shown in photo) We have been married for 3 years now and our home life has evolved from tiny studio living filled with generic Ikea furniture... to a tiny two bedroom apartment that was a hazardous living situation... to a 2 story 3 bed 2 1/2 bath home that went from being completely empty to full of life and pieces that bring us joy! The space we have created is now functional for our family of four! We have even gained enough confidence to throw our first party on Saturday!
I share all of this with you because I am proud of Nick and I for all the stages we endured to get here! I also want to bring inspiration/ encouragement for all for you when it comes to your personal space! A few tips I have for you is to rid all the pieces that do not bring you joy when you walk into a space! My next tip would be to take your time! Create a vision for yourself, whether it be through pinterest or old school cut and paste pictures, it is so important to have a reference while shopping! The goal is to hit the nail on the head, stop the cycle of repeatedly decorating and wasting your money! I have learned this through trail and error! Sorry bank account! My final tip would be to set a reasonable budget! My top favorite stores for all the little touches you see here are Ross, Target (clearance section, duh), Hobby Lobby and Home Goods! Unfortunately Chip and Joanna can't be there for all of us over night... so take your time, be intentional and I promise you it will all come together! RESTATING that this took us THREE YEARS!
I hope you all have a great rest of your week and feel free to comment or message me about any pieces that didn't get linked!
